To enter, create a short TikTok or YouTube video (less than five minutes, preferably around 2-3 minutes) to share your savings tip. Tell the world how you’ve saved money. Our editors will review every submission and we’ll select three that provide the most helpful, unique, and creative advice to each receive a $500 scholarship.

Sober Curious’ & The College Experience
The idea of being ‘sober curious’ was initially popularized by author Ruby Warrinton in her book, “Sober Curious: The Blissful Sleep, Greater Focus, Limitless Presence, and Deep Connection Awaiting Us All on the Other Side of Alcohol.”
Since the book’s publication in 2018, the sober curious movement has taken off around the country, especially among younger generations and college students.
For students, the college experience is sometimes synonymous with party going and drinking alcohol to excess. One national survey saw a third of all full-time college students admit to binge drinking in the past month.
This essay asks you to explore how being ‘sober curious’ challenges heavy alcohol use on campus, and what it means for college students to practice “mindful drinking.”

Hot Car Accident Scholarship 2024
We understand the profound impact that companion animals, particularly dogs, have on individuals and families in Orlando at Bengal Law: Orlando Car Accident Lawyers & Personal Injury Attorneys. Not only do we cherish our pets dearly, but we also acknowledge the concerning reality that far too many animals suffer and perish due to negligence, particularly in relation to the sweltering heat of Florida. While there is commonly widespread outrage and condemnation when a child is left unattended in a hot car, the same level of concern is often not extended to dogs and other pets.
Shockingly, despite the known risks, instances of dogs dying in hot cars continue to occur throughout the country, with statistics from organizations like PETA revealing alarming numbers, particularly in states like Texas and Florida. 163 animals died a hot car-related death in 2023, which is 4 times higher than the 38 hot car child deaths that occurred. What’s even more disheartening is the disparity in legal consequences and prosecution options. While severe penalties are handed down to those who endanger children by leaving them in a hot car, the penalties for leaving dogs to suffer a similar fate are often lax, often resulting in just fines.
At Bengal Law: Orlando Car Accident Lawyers, we recognize this injustice and advocate for change. We believe that the next generation holds the power to enact meaningful reform to fight for fair and just treatment for all animals, and we are committed to amplifying their voices. Together, we can create a nation where the welfare of our beloved companions is safeguarded and respected as it should be. Therefore, we are offering a unique opportunity for those searching to apply for Florida scholarships in 2024.
What is the Hot Car Accident Florida Scholarship?
Bengal Law is excited to announce a scholarship opportunity designed for students passionate about animal welfare laws and committed to enacting positive change regarding the alarming issue of animals left in extreme heat in Florida. We are seeking students who are eager to address the inadequacies of current animal rights laws surrounding dogs left in hot cars and wish to suggest meaningful enhancements to animal cruelty penalties to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
Our $1,500 per year scholarship, aims to alleviate the financial burden of education for eligible students while empowering them to advocate for legislative reform. Recipients may utilize the funds towards tuition and other educational expenses at accredited colleges or universities nationwide. By offering this scholarship, we hope to inspire a new generation of advocates dedicated to creating safer and more compassionate communities not only in Orlando but throughout the entire United States.

The Dangers of Distracted Driving
Did you know that drivers 15-19 years old make up the largest proportion of distracted drivers in fatal car crashes? According to a Teen Distracted Driver study conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a staggering 9% of all teen auto accident deaths in 2017 involved distracted driving.
What is Distracted Driving?
Distracted driving is driving while engaged in anything that takes focus away from the road. Things like eating or drinking, changing music, and using a phone are the most significant causes of most distracted driving accidents.
Texting and driving is especially dangerous. If you were to look down for 5 seconds to send or read a text at 55 miles per hour, that’s like driving the length of a football field while blindfolded. The risk is immense with your life, and others’, on the line.
Scholarship Overview
Our experienced personal injury lawyers have seen the devastation that distracted drivers can cause. And we want to do anything that we can to stop it.
In an effort to reduce the number of teen distracted driving accidents, the Missouri and Arkansas car accident attorneys at the Cottrell Law Office are holding a $1,500 scholarship contest where one lucky student will win.
Essay Requirements – Distracted Driving Experience and Prevention
We would like eligible students to write a 750-word essay about their life-changing experience with distracted driving and how they would stop others from doing the same.
- What happened?
- How did you change your ways for the better?
- What would you tell your peers that would convince them to never drive distracted?
Who Can Enter?
The scholarship contest is limited to Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas students only.
Applicants must be EITHER high school seniors accepted to a college or university (graduating summer 2024) OR students that are currently enrolled in a college or university (beginning fall semester 2024).
Our Judging Criteria
Submitted essays will be judged on their organization, style, clarity, and ideas.

Winston Law’s long service in Florida has made the team intimately familiar with the ways stigma can impede the pursuit of justice. In light of that experience, the team wants to put another tool in the hands of those parties looking to continue weeding stigma out of the processes meant to defend the innocent from harm.
The End to Stigma Within the Justice System Scholarship offers $2,500 to a student who thinks critically about how stigma impacts the pursuit of justice. Winston Law intends to use this scholarship to encourage the next generation to think critically about the ways they and their peers can work to reduce the stigma that parties pursuing justice face in court.
Eligibility Requirements
Winston Law encourages undergraduate and graduate students looking to continue their education to apply for the End to Stigma Within the Justice System Scholarship. All students applying for the scholarship should be prepared to prove that they meet the following criteria:
- You are in good academic standing
- You are enrolled in or accepted at an accredited college, university, or graduate school in the United States
- You agree to the scholarship terms and conditions
- Submit the necessary application materials
How Do I Apply?
Thank you for your interest in the End to Stigma Within the Justice System Scholarship! Once you’ve finished your video essay and double-checked your citations, make sure that you:
- Fill out the application form on this page
- Add the URL link to your video essay either Unlisted or Public (so that a shareable link is available)
Scholarship Video Topic
Winston Law wants students to craft an original video essay describing the impact stigma has had on the justice system. This video can elaborate on the ways stigma has impeded justice on a broader level or how the applying student has experienced stigma themselves.
Students should create a 1-2 minute video in length. We advise applicants to use engaging visuals and relatable content. They must ensure the data is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with relevant laws and regulations.
Students should take care to cite their work and bring forward notable examples of stigma either in their personal lives or as it’s been exhibited in the justice system.
For the videos to be considered eligible students are required to:
- Record their videos in well-lit areas while holding their recording device of choice as still as possible.
- Mention their full name and the name of the scholarship they are applying for either at the beginning or at the end of their video and give credits as necessary.
- Specify any sources of information and the media editing tools used in crafting and creating their videos in the description of the video.
- Use only copyright-free content, and come up with a creative, catchy title that reflects their ideas.
Students are free to use media editing tools, like Adobe Creative Cloud, to include images, stock shots, effects, or clean cuts in their content, but they are not compulsory. Winston Law intends to award this scholarship based on the quality of the speech and not a student’s demonstrable video editing skills. Therefore, students should take time and care crafting the written speech before sitting down to record it.
Any usage of AI platforms to automatically generate videos, and the use of fake actors is strictly prohibited and will lead to automatic disqualification.
Once finished, students should submit the video to their unlisted YouTube account and add the video link to their application form.
Scholarship Deadline
Students have until September 15, 2024, to complete their End to Stigma Within the Justice System Scholarship video essays and submit them to Winston Law. Unfortunately, Winston Law cannot consider applications submitted after this deadline.
Once this scholarship application closes, Winston Law’s team reserves up to three months to consider its applications. Once we reach a decision, we will contact the scholarship winner and discuss how we can provide the scholarship’s $2,500 award to the winner’s academic institution.
Unfortunately, Winston Law cannot discuss the details of the End to Stigma Within the Justice System Scholarship with students at this time. Please do not contact the firm over the phone, through our contact form, or through other means with questions about this scholarship. We will contact you if the firm needs more information after you’ve applied.

A $3,000 Video Scholarship for students who refuse to live boxed-in
Sttark is excited to award a $3,000 scholarship to a U.S. high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is willing to open up and unbox their life in a creative 5-minute video. Packaging is enticing–it creates an impression on the customer–but it’s the contents of a box that keep people coming back. We know there’s much more to you than meets the eye, and your presentation is just a reflection of who you are. If you were a carton or box, what would your packaging say? How would you brand yourself? And, most importantly, what story would your box contain? Show us the contents of your life that make you who you truly are.
Video Prompt
“This Is Who I Am: Unboxing My Life”
On the shelf, the folding carton or box is what first grabs attention, but the unboxing reveals a lot more about the product. The same is true with people. Packaging can promote personality, but contents reveal character and tell a story.
You’re welcome to use the following questions to help spark your creativity, but you are not required to answer them.
● Our “packaging” encases us, but our experiences shape us. The more we see about a person, the more we understand them and their values. Have your experiences ever changed the way you present yourself? In what way and why has it changed?
● Some people prefer to leave valuable products in their packaging, unopened or barely used, out of fear that they may be lost or damaged. Sometimes people find it more comfortable to stay “boxed in.”
Can you relate? Is there a significant moment in life when you opened up? Why did you choose to open up, and what did you discover about yourself or the world when you decided not to let yourself stay boxed in?
● Steve Jobs said, “Packaging can be theatre; it can create a story.” What does our personal packaging communicate, and is this message important? Can this presentation ever be misleading?
● No one wants to be criticized and put in a box. Have you ever been mislabeled? Were you able to change someone’s initial perception of you? Has someone ever told you they misjudged you? What was this experience like? And why do you think people are sometimes too quick to put others in a box?
Create a 5-minute unboxing video of your life that showcases your originality and unique personality.
You can shoot your video on a phone with basic editing like iMovie or as a single shot on a phone. Your submission will be judged for creativity, so keep in mind that the quality of your video matters.
Eligibility & Requirements
This application is open to all high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. Due to complexities with international funding, we will only consider submissions from U.S. citizens.
You will need to provide proof of college acceptance or a current transcript for high school students. Undergraduate and graduate students will need to provide proof of attendance from their college or university at the time of submission.
We’d love to know your future goals and why you deserve this scholarship, so we’re asking you to submit a brief biography of no more than 250 words with your application. In this bio, please specify your intended field of study and your current grade or degree level.
We will not assess this bio in our submission evaluation, but it will help us better understand your vision.
We will not consider your submission if it does not include:
● A short bio with your intended field of study and education level
● Evidence of U.S. citizenship (valid US postal address)
● A 5-minute unboxing video (no shorter than 4 minutes and no longer than 6)
● Proof of education: If chosen as the scholarship winner, we will request proof of education documents before sending the funds to your school. (examples: current transcript, student ID with current year, acceptance letter)
Evaluation
Your unboxing video will be evaluated by these four criteria:
1. Originality – overall uniqueness
2. Creativity – a blend of imagination and great ideas
3. Quality – superb execution
4. Competency – good composition and clear, engaging communication
Only submit your own work. Plagiarism is the opposite of innovation, and stolen work will be eliminated. This is your story–it’s uniquely valuable, and we want to hear it. No one can tell a story better than the one who has lived it, so stick to telling your story and no one else’s. If you do reference the work of another individual, please use a citation.
Refrain from submitting previously recorded videos if they do not align with the prompt “This Is Who I Am: Unboxing My Life.”

What Are The Non Negotiable Rules Of Our 1,000 Dollar Military Scholarship Essay?
All applications for the military scholarship must include a copy of your DD-214 with proof of an honorable discharge and a 500 or more word essay about why military vets can make a difference in improving the image of the practice of law.
- Write An Essay On Preventing Military Service Spine And Brain-Related Personal Injuries.
The essay provides examples of how the U.S. military could reduce brain and spinal cord injuries during combat. For instance, we have heard how defective earplugs have caused hearing loss. How could better head protection, body armor, or even military fighting vehicles be engineered to prevent improvised explosive device (“IED”) injuries and death related to brain and spine conditions?
Because most veterans cannot hire a brain injury attorney or spinal cord lawyer for back problems, most vets are relegated to VA disability claims. So they cannot generally sue the military, its officers, or others in most cases. But because military personnel can potentially possess the rights to sue a negligent civilian manufacturer who made products designed to prevent specific battle-related injuries, we want to see how you would approach this if you were a lawyer.
For example, could a Humvee’s armor be made better? Could a helmet or its internal padding be made safer? Could body armor or even unit tactics be changed to prevent an IED injury, for example? Include in your essay whether or not you think the present protection systems are inadequate, who you believe is liable, and why. We are not looking for a scientific treatise.
What we are looking for is your ability to research statistics, follow instructions, and issue spotting. Winners of this contest will be automatically enrolled in our summer law office internship selection program. Our lawyers want to see how your military training helped you think to save and protect lives, not as a life-taker but as a caretaker.
Deadline:Monday, Oct 7, 2024

The Dangers Associated with Distracted Driving.
As attorneys specializing in personal injury cases, we have witnessed firsthand the profound and lasting consequences of distracted driving. In mere seconds, a serious and potentially fatal accident can unfold, with many of these collisions occurring due to drivers being preoccupied.
Although a significant portion of the population acknowledges the hazards associated with distracted driving, a disconcerting number of drivers still opt to use their cellphones while operating a vehicle. Shockingly, over 400,000 individuals died in motor vehicle crashes in 2022 alone.
At MGA Law, we are committed to contributing to the dissemination of information regarding the perils of distracted driving. To this end, we are pleased to introduce our annual scholarship program aimed at raising awareness of this critical issue.
