"Job turns into opportunity"
I moved to the Ventura area about two and a half years ago and it was my first time living away from my family. I moved here to plan my wedding and start a family. I stumbled across a job opening in the School of Business and was given the job. I have been in the same office for about two years now and have built very valuable relationships with everyone in the office. I never had much experience working with international students and am really enjoying learning so many different things about other countries. It is really funny to think that I almost didn't make it past my first day because as my boss introduced me to people, I had everyone jokingly offering me their condolences. It is safe to say that I was a bit nervous on my second day but now I can't imagine having had another first job here.
