"Hopes and dreams"
My first day of my undergraduate studies at CLU was a day filled with emotion, nervousness and anxiety. Arriving to CLU was full of emotion because I was the first in my family to attend a university. It was nerve wracking because I was out of my comfort level and I knew that I wasn't only representing myself but my community. Lastly, I was anxious because I wanted to succeed and graduate.
Two years later, I achieved my goal and graduated with a master in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.
This institution gave me so much as a student that I came back to work and represent CLU and its community. I am sure that I will have many more stories to tell about my CLU experience.
I never had much experience working with international students and am really enjoying learning so many different things about other countries.
Just as I imagined, great people, wonderful atmosphere, love the kids and I drive into the parking lot and feel I’ve driven home.
My arrival here was meant to be and God's way of lifting me from a not so great place I was in.
This is a Christian university. How tolerant can it be towards gay people like myself?
