Barry Burns, B.F.A.

Barry Burns has been teaching at CLU for the past 15 years. He received his B.F.A. from the University of Houston and has held a variety of positions in multimedia (i.e., animation, art, broadcast, graphic communication, music and photography). Burns resides in Westlake Village, Calif., where he managed his own graphic design firm: Fortuna Design. His clients have included Amgen, Universal Studios, Sage Publications, Andromeda Software, American Jet and Majestic Teas. As an Illustrator, Burns has been published in eight books on neuroscience including the Human Brain by Jackson Beatty of UCLA. Besides teaching, Burns' passion is painting and sculpture. His works include large non-objective abstracts as well as highly detailed photo-real paintings containing hundreds of miniature portraits. Photo animation is a specialty.
