Cynthia Horacek, M.S., LMFT

Lecturer/Adjunct Faculty

Licensed in 1999, Cynthia Horacek is an M.F.T. specializing in trauma recovery, dissociative disorders, chronic pain and illness, depression, anxiety and phobias. A former middle school math and science teacher, Cynthia currently works adolescents, adults, individuals, couples and families. Additionally, Cynthia has taught Clincial Skills with Families and Couples at Antioch University in Santa Barbara before teaching at CLU. Cynthia has a special interest in the bioneurologicalphysiology of trauma; the emotional effects of trauma on the individual and how families of the traumatized individual are affected by the behaviors that trauma can create. She has extensive training in hypnosis, EMDR and Brainspotting, an off-shoot of EMDR.
