Commencement Information
When is Commencement and how will I know if I am eligible to participate?
The Commencement 2008 ceremony will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 17th at the Mt. Clef Stadium. All Candidates for Graduation will receive a letter in January 2008 concerning:
- Cap and Gown purchase
- Specific Graduation information
To get your grad check completed you need to do the following:
- Submit an "Application for Degree" to the ADEP Office.
- Pay the $50 application fee by September 30, 2007. After September 30, 2007 the application fee will be $75.
- Read the commencement booklet that will be mailed to you fall 2007 for more details on ordering your Cap & Gown, rings, announcements, etc. Information will also be posted on the CLU website.
Undergraduate students must have met the 2.0 grade point average minimum requirement on CLU major and on cumulative work by the semester before Spring 2008. Students planning to complete requirements by Summer 2008 and who meet the minimum grade point average requirements prior to the spring term, may be listed as candidates for the bachelor's degree for the May 2008 ceremony. August candidates should normally be within 6-8 credits of completion of the requirements after the spring term to qualify for 2008 graduate status.
Graduate students must have met the 3.0 grade point average minimum requirement at CLU by the semester before spring 2008. The Registrar's Office publishes a list of degree candidates which is posted in the SUB, Registrar's, ADEP and Graduate offices. Check the list for your name and degree completion date. If you are not on the list, the Registrar's Office has not received your Application for Degree card.
