Housing for Graduate Students

Living on campus as a graduate student immerses you in the Cal Lutheran experience. Professors will regularly interact with you both in and out of the classroom. You'll have the opportunity to participate in campus activities to whatever degree suits you and your studies.

Our residence halls are widely acknowledged as some of the nicest in the Southern California region. They are all within easy walking distance of classes, labs, academic departments, dining options, recreational facilities, the library, health services, and other campus offices.

Apartment-style Living

The residences have been designed to provide a living environment that fits your lifestyle — with an eye towards maximizing independence, privacy, and convenience.

The furnished, shared apartment-style suites include a kitchen, bathroom, common area, and four individual bedrooms.  The suites are in Grace Hall located on the third floor.   

You can prepare your own food in your suite kitchen (grocery stores are a short walk away) or choose one of the on-campus dining options. Also close by are patios, a swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, and hiking trails.

Affordability

The cost of living in a Cal Lutheran graduate residence hall is significantly less expensive than many options in the area, where the average cost of a one bedroom apartment in the region is up to $1,400 and climbing.

In addition, you'll save on the cost of utilities, high-speed Internet, and cable television. Save up to an additional $285 per month by living on campus
