FROM DNA TO HRM

The human body is explored from every angle in Cal Lutheran science courses. In the popular Bioengineering major, which has quadrupled in size since 2003, students investigate the body's basic components — cells, molecules, and genes — gaining insight into applied medical science, biomechanics, and tissue engineering. Looking at the body from a different angle, Exercise Science and Sports Medicine students probe human performance and movement by exploring physiology, anatomy, and chemistry in their labs. Despite different approaches to "the body," both majors are united in promoting student research as vital parts of their programs.
