CLU is home to people of all faith traditions who seek spiritual expression in a wide variety of ways — Chapel service, Lord of Life student congregation, or through programs like Hillel or the People of Prayer group (run through the Catholic Student Club). As a result, students find a community that embraces the pursuit of spirituality without expecting it. As Campus Pastor Scott Maxwell-Doherty explains, "Exploring and expressing one's unique faith is a hallmark of Lutheran higher education and there are a variety of opportunities on campus where students can explore the dimensions of believing. And if they choose not to attend, does that mean they're not exploring faith? Not in the least. It means they are exploring faith differently, in different communities, and through different means."
