Office: Humanities 241

Dr. Wines, active in the Aldous Huxley research community, co-organized the 2008 International Huxley Symposium co-convened by CLU and the Huntington Library in San Marino. She has been a Docent of the Muenster, Germany Aldous Huxley Society since her election in 2009.

In addition to her duties as chair of the English Department (2008-Spring 2013), Dr. Wines  helped develop CLU's Writing Center (now directed by Scott Chiu) and the Center for Teaching and Learning (now directed by Cia DeMartino). The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) provides CLU faculty with one-on-one and group support that includes integrating technology into course redesigns and a Thursday Teaching and Learning series on topics relevant to teaching and learning at CLU. Much of Dr. Wines' scholarship has been centered in this area. She continues as the advisor for CLU's award-winning literary publication Morning Glory (1996-present).
