Dr. Marylie Gerson received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Princeton University and is both a Social Psychologist and a licensed Clinical Psychologist.  She has taught a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, including clinical, developmental, and social psychology, and research methods. She combines a background in university teaching and research with her experience as a practicing clinical psychologist, and has presented and published professionally in the field. Her love of mentoring brought her to the CLU community in the late 1990s, where she strives to excite and guide students in the many aspects of psychological inquiry.  Her current research interests include understanding identity development and building openness to diversity, resilience, and the ability to thrive in the face of stressors.  She also serves as the Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research.
