Congratulations on being chosen to be part of Cal Lutheran's Fall 2008 entering class! We invite you to attend Admitted Student Day 2008 in honor of your tremendous accomplishment. This day is an opportunity for you and your family to learn more about CLU and the enrollment process. Are you ready to experience Cal Lutheran and meet your future classmates on Saturday, March 29, 2008?

Come to Admitted Student Day and meet professors from various academic programs. Find out more about financing a Cal Lutheran education, tour CLU's Residence Halls, and learn about campus life, orientation, clubs and involvement opportunities. We look forward to seeing you and your family on campus March 29th!

Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. and the day concludes at 2:30 p.m.

Admitted Student Day schedules are customized for each family.

Sessions include:

Residence Hall Open House

Residence Life at CLU will be hosting an open house so you can tour student suites. Come and see the halls firsthand and talk to the students who live there. Then pay your $195 housing deposit in the business office and submit your housing contract online in our computer lab (which includes a section for choosing your residence hall preference).

Financing a Cal Lutheran Education

The Cal Lutheran Financial Aid Office will be open to answer your questions. If you filed the FAFSA and requested that results be sent to Cal Lutheran, the University will automatically create your award of financial assistance. Advisors will be on-hand to help you with questions about the specifics of your award. If you are interested in meeting with a Financial Aid counselor, please request an appointment.

Campus Life and Orientation Information

What is involved with Orientation? How can I get involved on campus? What clubs and activities will I be able to be a part of? The Campus Life and Orientation information session will answer those questions and more.

Developing Global Citizens and Service Learning

The mission of CLU is to "educate leaders for a global society" who are "committed" to service and justice. Come and learn the opportunities available to students.

Clubs and Involvements

Learn about CLU's 60+ clubs and organizations that are available for you to be involved with. Student representatives will be on hand to tell you about the options and answer your questions.

Meet Professors from every Academic Program

Professors and students in each program will be on hand to talk with you and answer questions about freshman year sample schedules, program expectations, alumni outcomes, and graduate placement.

  • Housing Application- Don't forget that to get your spot on our housing list you need to submit your housing contract and application. As these forms are only available online, we will have a computer lab available for you along with a Residence Life representative who can assist with questions.
  • Financial Aid Appointments- For anyone who still has questions about their Financial Aid Award, we will have Financial Aid representatives available to meet with you throughout the day. Stop by once you check in to sign up for your appointment time or register online.
  • Centrum- If hunger strikes and it is not yet lunch-time, stop by to grab a snack and a soda to keep you going through the day.

We encourage students who are planning to attend Cal Lutheran to pay their tuition deposit on Admitted Student Day. The $300 deposit allows us to hold a spot for you in the incoming class. It is not a supplemental fee - it is your first payment toward tuition.

Due to the large volume of visitors on Admitted Student Day, we are unable to provide overnight housing on campus to prospective students. If you'd like to come another time for an overnight stay, we'd be glad to make arrangements for you, just call 1-877-CLU-FOR-U
