The Presidential Scholarships

Dates and Deadlines:

  • Thursday, January 15, 2009
    Admission Application Deadline.     All parts of your Cal Lutheran "Application for Admission" must be postmarked by this date. For your application to be considered complete, we must have your application, application fee, essay, letter of recommendation, transcripts, and test scores. It is your responsibility to contact the Office of Admission to confirm your application has been received and is complete by the deadline.
  • Thursday, January 29, 2009, 11:59 p.m. PST
    Presidential Scholarship Application Deadline.     Your Presidential Scholarship Application must be complete and submitted by this date to be considered for a finalist position. The application is only available online.
  • Friday, February 13, 2009, 5:00 p.m. PST

    Announcement of Finalists. The names, hometowns, and high schools of the Presidential Scholarship Finalists will be posted on the Presidential Scholarship Web site. Finalists will also receive an e-mail from the program coordinator.

  • Thursday, March 19, through Saturday March 21, 2009

    Presidential Scholarship Program. You must be able to attend the entire program in person. Please read the PARTICIPATION INFORMATION thoroughly.

  • Wednesday, April 1, 2009
    Scholarship Announcements    . Finalists will receive notification of their scholarship amounts on or before this date.
  • Wednesday, May 1, 2009
    National Reply Date. Finalists must notify us of their intent to enroll at CLU by this date to receive travel credit.
