People who teach at Cal Lutheran are interested in the whole you, what you think and do both in and out of the classroom. Our highly regarded scholars expose students to important academic concepts, but they’re also committed mentors who help you find your right direction in life.

Dedicated Experts

Eighty-four percent of the full-time faculty have earned their doctorate or terminal degree. Many have taught at prestigious schools such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale and Oxford. Our faculty includes a former senior economist of the United Nations Development Program, plus master scholars in everything from media law and Mexican narrative to artificial intelligence and classical and quantum chaos.

Whatever their background, all our educators bring intellectual expertise and academic curiosity to the classroom and are dedicated to providing you with a broad liberal arts experience.
