Festival of Sankta Lucia

Festival of Sankta Lucia

The festival of Sankta Lucia is one of Cal Lutheran's oldest celebrations. Introduced in the early 60s, this festival honors character traits as seen in the seven Beatitudes written in the Gospel of Matthew: traits of mercy, humility and purity of heart.

This celebration honors women and men whose depth of character and faith makes them leaders in the Cal Lutheran community, leaders whose very presence lights a new path as our paths are lit by God in the person of Jesus Christ. The Sankta Lucia Festival will be celebrated during the university chapel service.
