Alumni Board of Directors
Each year, new members are elected to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors. The Alumni Board represents the Alumni Association and serves as a bridge between the Association and the University. Board members participate in one of three committees: Development; Alumni Involvement and Recognition, and University Relations.
The Board meets on campus four times a year. If you would like to nominate an alumnus/a for Board service, or are interested in serving, please contact us.Learn More
Class Reps are the gateway from the Alumni office and the School to fellow classmates. They communicate with and provide updates to their classmates about upcoming events, activities, and announcements. They write letters to their classmates on a bi-annual basis. They help promote the One Year Reunion (week after commencement in the following year.) They recruit a reunion planning committee during the years which their class has a reunion (every 10 years). The 10 year reunions take place during Homecoming and Family Weekend. They gather updates on significant moments from classmates for the CLU Magazine.Become a class rep Learn More
The role of the Reunion Committee is to inform your classmates about reunion events and encourage them to return to campus. Part of that role includes: Strategy for contacting classmates, finding “lost alumni” from your class, creating a reunion survey to ask classmates how they would like to mark the reunion year, schedule and arrange specific class activities, connect with classmates to encourage their attendance, update contact information for classmates who have outdated information, attend Homecoming Weekend and welcome fellow classmates to your reunion event(s) during the weekend.Join the committee
Alumni Admissions Program
Are you interested in helping recruit Cal Lutheran's next generation of students? If so, then the Alumni Admissions program may be just for you! There are a variety of opportunities available such as representing Cal Lutheran at college fairs in your town, and attending regional admitted student events. We will provide training and all the Cal Lutheran literature and tchotchkes you’ll need. If you are interested, please contact us.
Parent Calling Campaign
The decisions that students and their families are faced with regarding college admissions can often be a confusing time. In an effort to make the decision-making process a little easier, Cal Lutheran offers its support in the form of phone calls to parents of newly admitted students a couple of times during the year. In the Spring, our parent callers contact newly admitted families to welcome them to Cal Lutheran and answer any questions they may have. Then in the Fall, our parent callers contact the new families to see how they're settling in and to offer support. In Parent Relations, we know that those best qualified to answer questions about the Cal Lutheran family experience are our fellow parents. We would love you to sign up to help in the Spring, the Fall, or both times.
