Alumni & Friends Golf Classic

One of Cal Lutheran’s longest standing Homecoming traditions, the Golf Classic includes greens fees, golf cart, refreshments on the course, dinner, and a golfer gift.

University Symphony Founders Day Concert

7:30 pm, Samuelson Chapel

John Williams' dramatic setting of three pieces from the Academy Award winning film, Schindler’s List, is the centerpiece for this year’s Founders Day concert. Also on the program are two standard orchestral repertory pieces, Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 “Unfinished” and Sibelius' Finlandia.

Dedication of Bob Shoup H'93 Statue

11:00 am, University Plaza

Coach Shoup was the first head coach of the Kingsmen football team. As the head football coach from 1962 to 1989, Shoup amassed 184 wins and a .662 winning percentage. He was voted National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) District 3 Coach of the Year nine consecutive years, was named the NAIA Western Coach of the Year three times and inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 2009. Coach Shoup provided leadership not only by coaching and building a championship football program, but also by building a championship Cal Lutheran athletic department that has carried over for generations.
