New Student & Parent Orientation/Move-In Day

Current CLU students are returning to campus and incoming freshmen (and their parents!) are here for Orientation on Saturday, August 30. In keeping with CLU tradition, current parents are invited to join CLU faculty and staff in welcoming new and returning students and parents to campus!
Parent Hospitality Tent
Current CLU parent volunteers will be stationed at CLU’s Parent Hospitality Tent starting at 8:00am to answer questions and hand out materials to new parents. This shaded, welcome area provides a place for incoming parents to have a seat, grab a cup of coffee, muffin, or bottle of water, and chat with other parents while their students check-in.
Flex Some Muscle
Not afraid of heavy lifting? If you are one of those parents that doesn’t mind getting a little dirty for the cause, we are certain that students and parents would appreciate a little help moving into the dorms! Come ready to work and you will be in high demand!
2009 Pre- and Post-Game Kingsmen Football Tailgate Parties
CLU hosts pre-game celebrations before all home Kingsmen football games! After the game, parents of players generally gather at a local restaurant. For more information about pre- and post-game tailgate parties, e-mail Alumni & Parent Relations.
All home games start at 1:00pm

Holiday Parent Reception & Christmas Festival Concert

Join us on Saturday, December 5 at 6:00 p.m. for a coffee and dessert reception for CLU parents in Pearson Library located on CLU’s campus. At 7:30 p.m., we will make our way to Samuelson Chapel for the 8:00 p.m. Christmas Festival Concert, one of CLU’s longest standing annual traditions. Featuring the CLU Choirs and the University Symphony, all are welcome to enjoy the company of family, friends, and the sounds of the Christmas season.
Christmas Festival Concert - Admission is free. Seating is limited.
"Welcome" Phone Calls to Admitted Parents

The college admission process can be a confusing time for students and their families. As such, CLU offers its support in the form of "welcome" phone calls by current CLU parents. Newly admitted parents receive calls of welcome and support from those best qualified to answer questions about the parent experience - current CLU parents.
