Profile

As a faculty member in the Graduate School of Education, Dr. Lorimer is actively engaged in teacher preparation, graduate research, and community service. Deeply rooted within her work is one overarching goal: to promote effective learning and social equity in an inclusive environment, thereby ensuring educational excellence for every learner. Arts education is central to this work. Through research, publications, presentations, and community service, she is dedicated to uncovering and sharing knowledge about the integral role of the visual and performing arts as a catalyst for tranformative change and an influential factor embedded within effective learning and teaching.
