Penny Brady has lived in the Conejo Valley for 12 years and is blessed with three daughters. She is new to Arete this year, and is currently singing in the Los Robles Master Chorale as well as the Bel Air Presbyterian Church choir. She holds a B.A. in Voice, a Single Subject Music Credential, and a Master’s Degree in Education.
Penny spent many years as a Studio Session singer in the Bay area, Nashville, Fresno, and San Diego, singing primarily Christian Chorale tracks, with a few jingles, BGV’s, and some Children’s music mixed in. She was an adjunct teacher at Christian Heritage College in the Music Dept., and has taught private voice for many years.
Penny has done extensive solo work in large churches and televised services, and has sung at crusades and conferences. One of the highlights for her was playing Mary in the “Glory of Easter” at Crystal Cathedral. She has directed small ensembles and children's choirs, and served as an interim choir director for a large church.
During her time in Nashville, Penny had a few songs published, worked as a music copyist, and helped proofread scores for a hymnal. She hopes to do more arranging and writing in the future.
