Survey Research Planning GuideThe goal of survey research is to create surveys that are user friendly, well designed, and ask the right questions. The systematic collection of data becomes able to drive analysis towards reliability and validity. The Research Planning Guide is available to assist with the survey planning process. The Guide identifies three stages in the survey research, their characteristics, and suggests a time frame for the process. The stages are available in chart form and are summarized below: Stage One: Planning and Designing a Survey The time frame for this stage can be from 2 to 4 weeks.
