CLU has almost a decade of institutional experience in developing and implementing SLOs. Faculty began developing CLU’s institution-wide SLOs in 2000. By the conclusion of the 2003-04 academic year, faculty reached consensus on 14 SLOs and defined each outcome. Over time, each outcome became more clearly defined and faculty determined where the outcomes would be embedded in the curriculum and co-curriculum.
During 2008 – 09, faculty reviewed and streamlined the 14 SLOs to eight institutional student learning outcomes. Each learning outcome has been further defined and sample rubrics are provided.
