Last year, American artist Mia Tavonatti moved to Italy to unveil her most recent project, Svelata, a monumental series of oil paintings on canvas at the ancient Museo Arsenale in Amalfi.

Attachment Theory and Chronic Illness - Jessica Borelli, Ph.D.

In this presentation, Dr. Jessie Borelli will provide a brief overview of attachment theory with a specific focus on the secure base construct. She will then discuss the applicability of this model to understanding cases in which the parent-child attachment system is stressed by chronic illness in the child. Dr. Borelli will present a case study of a parent-child dyad seen in family therapy and will discuss the ways in which the adoption of an attachment perspective facilitated progress in the therapy.
