True Crime Story, Detective J. Rafael Tovar
Detective talks about catching, arresting, and the social impact of serial killer John Wayne Gacy

Detective J. Rafael Tovar, retired investigator for the Des Plaines (Illinois) Police Department, caught and arrested John Wayne Gacy for the murders of 33 young men from the Chicago area. He will discuss Gacy’s life, arrest, prosecution and execution. The social impact of the victims, community, and the justice system at large will also be discussed.

West African Music and Dance: Saakumu Dance Troupe

Led by master musician Bernard Woma, the group's joyful, expressive and highly participatory repertoire includes a range of spiritual, ceremonial and recreational genres accompanied by contemporary African dance forms.
