The influential composer Steve Reich has called them “probably the most acclaimed percussion group on earth.”

A master printmaker, painter, teacher and author, Dan Welden is the originator of a safe and green printmaking technique called the Solarplate method. As the 2012 Artists and Speakers resident, he will work in the Kwan Fong Gallery from Jan. 30 to Feb. 28.
