In the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine, in the middle of winter, we are drawn into a world of romance. In a series of scenes, residents of Almost fall in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways.
Artists and Speakers Series
Called the “high priests of the percussion world” by the New York Times, Bob Becker, Bill Cahn, Russell Hartenberger and Garry Kvistad comprise what is considered one of the premiere percussion ensembles in the world today. The influential composer Steve Reich has called them “probably the most acclaimed percussion group on earth.”
Artists and Speakers Series
A master printmaker, painter, teacher and author, Dan Welden is the originator of a safe and green printmaking technique called the Solarplate method. As the 2012 Artists and Speakers resident, he will work in the Kwan Fong Gallery from Jan. 30 to Feb. 28.
Multimedia students collect intriguing stories on three separate days from three places: the University (CLU24), the city of Thousand Oaks (TO24) and the metropolis of Los Angeles (LA24). Selections of their graphic design, photography and documentary videography will be on display.
Members of the sophomore multimedia class develop their original ideas into engaging stories.
