Christmas Festival Concerts

The CLU Choral Ensembles and University String Symphony combine forces to present the annual Christmas Festival Concerts. Welcome the holiday season with this special musical gift, featuring a narrated performance of Christmas music guaranteed to put you in the holiday mood.

This year’s theme, Veni Emmanuel, alludes to the original Latin title of the great Advent carol “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” which will be featured prominently in the concert.

As always, the program for this longest-running annual event will include delightful lesser known carols as well as familiar favorites performed by the Cal Lutheran Choral Ensembles conducted by Wyant Morton. The University String Symphony is conducted by its newly appointed conductor Yoshika Masuda.

This is always a popular concert, so arrive early for convenient parking. Doors open one hour before the concert.

Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are free for Cal Lutheran faculty, staff and students with ID, but must be obtained in advance. For more information, contact the Music Department.

The concert on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 4:00 pm will be live streamed online at www.callutheran.edu/live
