Event Description
The Valparaiso University Chorale, the premier choral ensemble at VU and among the top Lutheran collegiate choirs in the United States, upholds the highest standard of choral art through performance of the greatest choral literature of all eras.
Dedicated to performing works that represent the University’s Lutheran heritage, the group is also noted for performance of significant contemporary works in original languages and for performance of music expressing multicultural perspectives.
Under the direction of Christopher M. Cock, this 48-voice ensemble maintains an active annual schedule of touring, performing and recording. In 2007 they undertook a concert tour of Germany, appearing at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig and performing Bach’s St. John Passion with the Leipzig Baroque Orchestra.
