Event Description
A stimulating community program in which Cal Lutheran faculty review noteworthy books. Each faculty member will offer an engaging review, which will include time for audience discussion and questions. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho tells the story of a shepherd boy who desires to venture forth and see the world. The narrative “has the comic charm, dramatic tension, and psychological intensity of a fairy tale.” (Publishers Weekly) Coelho’s book has become a bestseller in both Latin America and the United States. Reviewed by Dr. Russell Stockard, Assistant Professor of Communication.
