Las Posadas

Each year CLU students and the community come together to reenact Mary and Joseph's search for shelter and a place for the birth of baby Jesus.

Join us in this festive Mexican tradition that dates back to the 16th century as we travel with candles in hand from the Student Union Building and through the residence halls where Mary and Joseph knock on doors requesting lodging for the night. The procession ends at the Lundring Events Center where the evening concludes with a piñata and refreshments of Mexican hot chocolate and pan dulce (sweet breads).

Admission is free. Co-sponsored by the Office of Campus Ministry, Multicultural Programs, the Latin American Student Organization and the Spanish Department.
