Ninth Annual International Conference

The ninth annual international conference titled "In Search of the Virtuous Economy: A Plea for Dialogue, Wisdom and the Common Good" will focus on leading by wisdom and doing well by doing good. The themes will include the meaning and practice of wisdom; virtues and service as the basis of a trustful and effective leadership; religious and spiritual philosophies on economy, globalization, environment, peace and justice; the global financial crisis and repercussions including its impact on developing countries; fundamental defects of the free market system; gender equity; health and well-being; environmental stewardship; and sustainable production and consumption.

The conference is hosted by the Center for Leadership and Values, CLU School of Business, under the auspices of Globalization for the Common Good - An Interfaith Perspective founded by Kamran Mofid, Ph.D.
