Prison Realignment: the Experience So Far

CLU's Criminal Justice Department and Master of Public Policy and Administration Program are co-sponsoring this public event with the City of Oxnard to discuss the local impact of the state’s prison realignment efforts.

Sheriff Geoff Dean, Chief Probation Officer Mark Varela and other criminal justice officials as well as behavioral health representatives will participate on a panel to evaluate the shift that has occurred in California prison release policy, and its impact on county resources and community safety.

The event will be held at the Oxnard City Council Chambers, located at 305 West Third Street.
