Prison Realignment: The Experience So Far

Sheriff Geoff Dean, Chief Probation Officer Mark Varela and other criminal justice professionals as well as behavioral health representatives will participate on a panel to evaluate the shift that has occurred in California's prison release policy, its impact on county resources and community safety. Herbert Gooch, director of CLU's MPPA program and faculty from the Criminal Justice Department will help facilitate the forum and public discussion regarding this important issue.

The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Oxnard City Council Chambers are located at 305 W. Third St. in Oxnard.
