James Koenig, the founder and longtime director of the Scandinavian Film Festival LA, speaks on the history of the festival and the films now emerging from Scandinavian producers.
Koenig’s love affair with the work of director Ingmar Bergman, begun while he was still in high school, led him to initiate the festival 14 years ago. He has been a guest at Scandinavian film festivals and served on numerous festival juries, but is better known for his successful singing career with performances throughout the United States and Europe and classical recitals that have been broadcast on National Public Radio.
Admission is free.
