A presentation for robotics teams and students of all ages interested in STEM careers (science, technology, engineering and math). Families welcome.
The featured speaker is Anita Sengupta, Ph.D., Senior Systems Engineer NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). For the past decade, Sengupta has been developing entry and propulsion systems for Mars, Venus and deep space missions. As the lead systems engineer for the supersonic parachute deployment for the Curiosity rover's descent and landing on Mars, Sengupta will speak about the development of the entry system design, provide an update on the mission, and answer questions on how to prepare for careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
