Do you work with students who are at risk for reading and writing failure? Do you often wish you could “fix” the learning problems of some of your neediest students? Learn easy-to-use ways to modify existing lessons and assignments to better scaffold and support your students with learning disabilities. How do you accommodate for their learning differences? Come to experience dozens of activities, tips, tools and techniques to diversify your instruction for students with special needs. Tune into designing engaging strategies for your students’ various learning styles.

Kathy Perez, Ed.D., is an award-winning classroom teacher, administrator and author who has worked with students of all ages, from preschoolers to college graduates. She is a professor of education, director of teaching leadership, and coordinator of professional development and outreach at Saint Mary’s College of California.

Dr. Perez’s latest book, The New Inclusion: Differentiated Strategies to Engage ALL Students (Teacher College Press, 2013), will be available for purchase and signing at this event.
