Opening Academic Convocation

The Opening Academic Convocation is a formal ceremony to welcome new members of the Cal Lutheran community. Just as Commencement (Graduation) celebrates the completion of students' academic journey, Opening Academic Convocation commemorates its beginning. New students will be officially recognized and welcomed into the Cal Lutheran community. New professors will be introduced.  Professor Susan Murphy, 2015 recipient of the President's Award for Teaching Excellence, will be the keynote speaker.
