Light Sculptures by Sean Sobczak
Don't miss the amazing light sculptures of Sean Sobczak. A flying dragon, fantastic sea horses with laser eyes, a creepy spider, illuminated dragonflies, and a glowing mermaid fill the gallery.
Having found his life's calling in sculpture just five years ago, Sobchak is already well known in the L.A. underground, and his sculptures have appeared in numerous venues and events in and around Los Angeles. The predominant focus of the 35-year-old artist’s work has been his exploration of the alien worlds of plant, insect and ocean life.
Through a combination of steel wire, imported fabrics and various types of illumination, he uses delicate curves, rich textures and warm colors to infuse his pieces with a gentle, dreamlike, surreal quality that encourages the viewer to rediscover these wonders of nature with a sense of childlike awe.
