Katherine Hall is currently the Program Administrator for the EduCare Foundation, located right here in Thousand Oaks. She has been working in the field of education for over 40 years and in the non-profit sector since 1979. She got her degree in Education at U.S.C. and has held a variety of positions, including the Executive Director of the Institute for Individual and World Peace for 10 years.

Lori Kallestad Davis, a Minnesota native has worked with a wide array of non-profit organizations including: Twin Cities Public Television, Jean-Michel Cousteau's - Ocean Futures Society, The National Youth Leadership Council and AmeriCorps Promise Fellows. Davis holds a BA in Visual Journalism from Brooks Institute of Photography. Currently she is staff videographer/editor for Joni and Friends International Disability Center, a non-profit ministry that collects and restores used wheelchairs and distributes them, free of charge, to people in developing countries worldwide.

Jody Skenderian is a current Board Member ofPDAP (Palmer Drug Abuse Program of Ventura County) as well as Bunko4 Breast Cancer (B4BC), both based in Camarillo. PDAP is the County's only non-residential treatment center for at-risk youth providing drug and alcohol counseling services to students and families regardless of ability to pay.B4BC is one of Ventura County's newest non-profits, co-founded by a family member who hosted the first B4BC annual bunko tournament in 2009 to raise funds in pursuit of finding a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime. Jody is a Faculty Member for University of Phoenix who also works in Corporate & Community Relations for the university. She earned her Bachelor's from Cal Poly SLO and Master's from San Francisco State University, both in Political Science.
Salvation Army-Corps Officer

Bill Finley is a Captain in The Salvation Army. He has served in a variety of capacities including assistant director at The Salvation Army in Redondo Beach, CA and a Director in Training at the Los Angeles Harborlight a 300 bed drug treatment program on skid row in Los Angeles. In 2008 he was appointed along with his wife as Corps Officer for the Ventura Salvation Army and oversees a variety of programs including senior ministries, food pantry, and 56 bed transitional living center for homeless families and single women. He has been working full time for The Salvation Army since 2000 and was commissioned as an officer in 2003. He holds a BA from Colorado Christian University and a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Regis University. He is married and has a three year old daughter.

Michelle Jacobson, a fundraising professional, develops relationships with external constituencies of the School of Business to support the priorities of the School. Prior to coming to CLU, she worked in Development at UCLA and the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Jacobson serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties Chapter and Chairs National Philanthropy Day 2009 for the two counties. She has a B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology, and an MBA from UCLA Anderson with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management.

JoLynn Hinger is Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has more than 15 years experience in communication, public relations and marketing with the not-for-profit sector, including higher education, hospitals and the chamber. Hinger holds a bachelor degree in Mass Media Communication/Public Relations from Loma Linda University.

Moriah Harris-Rodger a CLU alum is the Executive Director of The Guitar Center Music Foundation, a public nonprofit founded in 2005, which awards grants to music education programs across the United States. The organization is based out of Westlake Village and works closely with many sectors of the music industry. Moriah also consults nonprofits, social enterprises and musicians on how to make the biggest impact for their cause. She is a member of the Social Enterprise Alliance, the Conejo Valley Rotaract club and is active in many networking circles throughout the Los Angeles area. She has her Bachelor’s in Communications and a concentration in Journalism.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County, Inc.-Program Director

Lyn Sylva, the Program Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County, supervises all programs matching volunteer mentors with at-risk youth throughout Ventura County. She also volunteers as a Big Sister and has been matched with her Little Sister Olivia since last November. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in camp and recreational leadership from the University of La Verne. She raised three children, one of which is a CLU alumnus. She was previously the Camarillo Boys & Girls Club Program Director for 7 years and prior to that was a Field Director/Program & Membership Specialist for 11 years with Tres Condados Girl Scout Council. A Girl Scout life-time member of 45 years, she has been honored by the Girl Scouts as a Ventura County Woman of Distinction and also Thanks Badge National Award recipient. Lyn has been a non-profit youth advocate for 45+ years with a passion for serving at-risk youth.

Melissa Thompson-Jinariu earned her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in 2002, and is currently working towards completing a Doctorate in Psychology. She has clinical experience working as a therapist in both residential and outpatient settings, providing social work services, as well as providing clinical supervision to MSW and MFT interns. She specializes in the area of attachment and has worked with children and adults diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder. Melissa dedicates her free time to working overseas with orphaned children in state institutions. It was her work with these children that inspired her to pursue a career in the pediatric mental health and social work fields.

Lindsey Garner is the Senior Development Associate for Many Mansions, where she manages media and marketing, manages the volunteer and internship program, and cultivates relationships with prospective donors. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University in 2004 and a Master of Public Administration degree in 2006. Shortly thereafter she relocated to California and joined the team at Many Mansions. Lindsey has 5 years of experience in real estate and property management and has worked with the National Low Income Housing Coalition in Washington, D.C. to advocate for the production and rehabilitation of affordable housing.

Corliss Porter is Clinical Director for Turning Point Foundation. She has over 30 years experience serving clients with a serious mental illness, dual diagnosed and clients moving from homelessness. Corliss is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist in California and is able to provide licensed supervision for interns seeking their license. She previously was the Executive Director for the Phoenix of Santa Barbara and the Operations Director for a nation-wide Employee Assistance Program with United Healthcare. Corliss appreciates the efforts of clients she works with “Mental illness takes a lot of courage for people to overcome and to create a life of their own. I applaud the struggle I see clients go through to gain their independence from these illnesses.”
United Way of Ventura County-Vice President, Community Impact

Susan Englund joined United Way of Ventura County as Vice President, Community Impact in 2001 following 30 years in non-profit youth agency management. At United Way she is responsible for developing, implementing and managing strategies to achieve the Community Impact work of United Way. Susan has a Bachelor's Degree in psychology.

Terry Marcellino's work experience includes being a stunt woman for commercials and film, an Art Director for Disney and other major studios and a graphic designer for Los Angeles Magazine. Terry was the first recipient of a grant to attend USC’s Multimedia School as a participant in their visiting scholar program. In 1995 she started computer clubs for Woodcraft Rangers and taught students desktop publishing and web design. In 2006 she accepted the position of Corporate Outreach Coordinator to enhance their corporate partnerships, instituted a surf camp for inner city youth and obtained corporate sponsorship from Quiksilver. Terry is on the board of directors for TASLA (Travelers Aid Los Angeles) and has volunteered for other non-profits such as Surfrider Foundation and Aids Project LA. She is also an avid human rights activist and an active member of Amnesty International.

Charity Checks-Co-Founder
Lisa Sonne co-founded the nonprofit Charity Checks in 1999 with CLU professor Victor Dorff and helps head the Giving Certificates and Charitable Literacy programs. www.CharityChecks.us Nonprofit positions in her eclectic past include Director of Development for Stanford University for Class Agents & Reunions, Associate Director for the California Association for the American Conservatory Theater, and writer/producer/ director/other for award winning PBS series and documentaries. Most recently she was a "possibilitator" consultant for Buzz Aldrin's non profit for space education, ShareSpace.

Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County-Executive Director
Stacy Swanson joined Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County in 2006, after 14 years with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County has built 43 homes in Ventura County over the last 14 years. Our goal is to increase production to 10 affordable housing units per year in the county. She is a CLU Alumni (class of 1991) with a Liberal Arts Degree, Emphasis in English.
United Way-Director of Marketing and Communications
Letitia Austin joined United Way of Ventura County as the Marketing & Communications Director in 2000. She has 16 years of experience in the field of journalism, public relations, marketing, and communications. She received her Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree in Marketing from National University in La Jolla, Calif. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from California State University, Northridge. She is a freelance writer for several national magazines and is currently working on completing her first nonfiction book.

Area Housing Authority- Public Relations Coordinator
Linda Fisher-Helton is the Community Relations Manager for the Area Housing Authority in Newbury Park. She has over 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations, public information, and community relations. She has held positions with the American Cancer Society, the City of Ojai, Ventura Harbor, and a large, now defunct computer firm in Simi Valley. Linda holds a BA in Business Administration from none other than CLU and a Masters in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge.
CLU- Director of Foundation Scholarship Development
Della Greenlee has been an employee of CLU for 30 years, 25 of them in the Advancement Office.Her work in Advancement has been very fulfilling, both in the areas of scholarship development and foundation relationships. She has been active in AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) and in 1995 received the award for "Fundraiser of the Year" from the Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties Chapter. In August of this year, she received the "Service to Alma Mater" award from the CLU Alumni Association. She is proud to be a CLU alumna, class of '82.

Pituitary Network Association- CEO, Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder
Robert Knutzen, M.B.A., is the CEO, Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of the Pituitary Network Association (PNA). The PNA has been instrumental in raising awareness of the dangers associated with Pituitary diseases and disorders. Knutzen received his Masters of Business Administration at Pepperdine University in 1984 and did his undergraduate work at UCLA and Santa Monica College.
Retired Non-Profit Guru
Ken Weinberg who is currently retired has a long history with the non-profit world. His specialties were in fundraising and development. At one point he was raising $3 million dollars a year through his annual campaign. He has also been a consultant to many community organizations and has a passion for social justice. Ken has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Boston University and a Master's Degree in Journalism from UCLA.
