As a graduate of St. Mary’s College of California she volunteered as a teacher in the deep south, worked for a medical device company, and spent the bulk of her “career” in oncology clinical research. At that point she laid career aside to become a full time mom. She spent the past several years investing in three children -two through adoption and one biological child. The experience of the plight of the orphaned child left Ashlee and her husband, Scott, continuously asking “what can we do to stand in the gap for the orphaned child?” The Lord gave them a vision for a grass roots ministry to spotlight the Biblical mandate for orphan care and adoption and, subsequently, to inspire people to serve the orphan in any number of capacities. Dark to Dawn was born and, thus, her sixth career.
