EUREKA has 13 databases, 2 career assessments and special features. This program can assist you in exploring the many different aspects of career information. Here are some examples:
XPLOR
XPLOR is a great place to start when you are unsure where you want to go in EUREKA. XPLOR will introduce you to all of EUREKA's components. You can print out any information you wish, such as a list of occupations or industries.
Occupations Database
The Occupations Database has over 2,400 occupational titles. The titles include Major, Related, Synonyms, and Specialty occupations. Related occupations are indicated by (R) following the title and Specialties are indicated by (Specialty) after the title.
Brief Occupations Database
Brief Occupations provides short descriptions of some of EUREKA's major occupations.
Programs of Study Database
The EUREKA Programs of Study database contains 141 fields of study. Each Program of Study contains a description of the program and a list of schools offering that program.
Schools Database (California and National)
The California Schools database contains over 700 schools. The National Schools database has over 1600 four-year colleges and universities located throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries. To find schools that may meet your specific needs, use the School's Filter. You can choose to view the list of schools with or without the Filter.
Self Exploration/Assessments Occ-U-Sort
The Occ-U-Sort questionnaire contains questions that help you identify Occupations that may be of interest to you. (Also available in a Spanish version)
Self Exploration/Assessments CrossWalks
Crosswalks enables you to compare the results of other self-assessment tests with EUREKA Occupations. In order to use Crosswalks, you must have completed one of the assessments listed in the Crosswalks database, such as the ACT Career Planning Program (CPP), the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, Myers-Briggs, COPS, or others.
Spanish Database
This database provides brief EUREKA occupational descriptions in Spanish. Each description includes a reference to the level of English proficiency required to perform job duties.
Military Database
The Military Database contains Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Descriptions. It also includes links to EUREKA Occupations.
International Database
This database contains descriptions of international occupations directly related to EUREKA Occupations. Those who intend to apply for jobs in other countries will find international descriptions very helpful.
Financial Aid Database
The Financial Aid Database includes information on over 4500 sources of financial assistance. You can create a personal list of financial aid awards by using the Financial Aid Filter. You can also use the Letter Writer and Internet Features while in the Data Viewer.
Industries Database
There are 152 industry descriptions in EUREKA's Industry Database. You can find California and National information about industry size, job outlook, earnings and benefits, and other useful industry information. You can link to Occupations while in Industries.

Cluster Job Search Database
Eureka's Job Search database has information that any beginning job seeker will find extremely useful. It provides examples of data to include in a resume, ideas on how to prepare for a job interview, and much more.
SBO (Steps to Business Ownership) Database
SBO includes California, National, and International information about owning your own business. It describes the differences between business ownership, entrepreneurship, and franchising. It also contains other information about business ownership.
Special Features-Letter Writer
The Letter Writer constructs a sample, editable letter that includes your name and address, the name and address of the organization, school or resource you are writing to, and suggested items to request. Letters may be sent to schools, financial aid/scholarship resources, or associations.
