In response to an increase in the sexual assault rate of females ages 18-24 in The T.O. area, CLU has partnered with the Sheriff's Department and other agencies in order to increase awareness and provide education on this topic. A variety of speakers will present such as ; Dr. Hannah Grossman (the importance of women's health), Dr. Margaret Allan from CLU on Dealing with Trauma, Jenna and Dan Knauss from CLU speaking about dating violence and other relationship issues and Robert Ferguson focusing on fitness and nutrition. Maureen Shea, known as the real "million dollar baby" will also be featured. The event is on the T.O. campus in the Lundring events center from 9:30-2:30. A free continental breakfast and lunch will be included, as well as prizes and raffles. Additionally resource booths will be open to the public that will feature a variety of information on self defense, health and safety issues and resources for wellness and mental health in our community. You must register to attend and all are welcome. Due to the mature subject matter, age 17 and under must provide a parental consent form or be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
