Event Description
People of different faiths who recognize their common calling to ‘welcome the stranger’ will shine a light on the urgent need for just and humane immigration reform. Immigrants and Diverse Faith Communities come together to honor the gifts and contributions of our immigrant community and advocate to keep families together. An original skit based on the Posadas tradition — the story of Mary and Joseph seeking a place to stay – will be presented by local youth. Faith action coordinated through the National New Sanctuary Movement There is no cost to this event, though donations to sustain our work are welcomed.
