Working for healthy, sustainable, and just communities for all

Ventura Stories

An interactive workshop on the economic issues we all face in our community

Ventura Stories

Ventura County was named one of the Best Places to Live in the United States. Yet why are so many struggling to make ends meet? Why can’t working families afford quality childcare? Why is housing so expensive for everybody? How do farm workers support their families? What impact will raising the minimum wage have in California?

Explore the issues and some possible answers in the Ventura Stories, an interactive workshop on the economic concerns facing our community. During the workshop you will have the opportunity to learn more and engage in discussions about the key economic issues. You will learn about progressive policies you can support and immediate actions you can take. And meet others who share your vision for a better Ventura County.

Come on Feb. 20 to hear stories and talk to experts. The free workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Ventura County Community Foundation Building, 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd, Camarillo, CA 90312. Light breakfast and lunch are complementary.

Participants must register to attend. Places are limited.

This event is free but donations to defray the costs are welcomed!!
