An Evening With the Author: Elisabeth Sheff

Elisabeth Sheff is one of a handful of global experts on polyamory and the foremost worldwide expert on children in polyamorous families. Specializing in diversity and underserved populations, she is an expert witness, relationship consultant and public speaker.

She is the author of The Polyamorists Next Door: Inside Multiple-Partner Relationships and Families (2014) and editor of Stories from the Polycule: Real Life in Polyamorous Families (2015) and has published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and chapters in books pertaining to gender, families and sexual minorities.

Sheff makes research in academic sociology easily accessible to everyone. She has been interviewed by news outlets including The Huffington Post, The Sunday Times, The Boston Globe, Newsweek, The Atlantic and CNN, and she blogs for Psychology Today and How Do I Date?

In this talk, she explains the concept of sexual and gender minority and details a range of issues affecting families in these minority groups.
