CLA Benefit Golf Tournament Raises Over $13,000

Proceeds go to Student Scholarships

On June 18, CLA hosted the Ninth Annual Golf Tournament at Moorpark Country Club. Tournament sponsors included Dr. Rodney P. Burton, D.D.S., Oak Terrace Homes, Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, Southern California Edison and University Village of Thousand Oaks. Event sponsors included Storm-Larsen and Company, Inc., Ernie and Jean Sandlin and Jeremy Hofer and Larry Winter from Thrivent Financial. Tee sign sponsors included Edsall and Arrieta - Attorneys at Law, ELS Language Centers, Ken Fidyk - US Merchant Marine Academy, Kevin Patrick McVerry - Attorney at Law, MVAP Medical, Norman Lueck, Platinum Party Rentals and Trinity Lutheran High School.

CLA Benefit Golf Tournament Raises Over $12,000

Proceeds go to Student Scholarships

On June 19, CLA hosted the Eighth Annual Golf Tournament at Moorpark Country Club. Tournament sponsors included Santa Barbara Bank and Trust; Storm-Larsen & Company, Inc.; University Village of Thousand Oaks; and First California Bank. Tee sign sponsors included Blake Mueller, DDS, PC; Norm Lueck; and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

The Golf Tournament raised approximately $12,500 with tournament proceeds going toward CLU student scholarships.

COMMUNITY LEADERS ASSOCIATION
The proceeds of charitable events such as the Annual Dinner and Auction sponsored by the CLU Community Leaders Association support the University' academic progams and its students.Over the years, the support of the Community Leaders Association has resulted in the donation of more than $1.5 million toward enhancements in equipment and technology. Each year, the Association distributes funding to CLU's academic departments for special one-time projects. In addition to providing funding for the academic departments at California Lutheran University, the Association also awards scholarships each year to students who excel academically and show committment to community service.
