How will I know if I am eligible to participate?

Degree candidates for November 2019, December 2019, February 2020, May 2020, and August 2020 are eligible to participate in the May 2020 Commencement ceremony.

Completion of degree requirements next fall (2020) will place you on the May 2021 Commencement list.

Students planning to complete requirements by summer 2020 and who meet the minimum grade point average requirements prior to the spring term may be listed as candidates for their degree for the May 2020 ceremony. August candidates should normally be within 6-8 credits of completion of the requirements after the spring term and must be pre-registered for summer term at Cal Lutheran by no later than March 15, 2020 to be eligible for the May 2020 ceremony.

All students planning to graduate in the summer of 2020 and walk in the May 2020 Commencement ceremony will be required to take all summer courses at Cal Lutheran. If students opt to take summer courses outside of Cal Lutheran, they will not be eligible for the 2020 ceremony. Additionally, all CLEP exams must be completed by November 25, 2019 for any student graduating winter, spring or summer of 2020.

Students are ultimately responsible for ensuring they have met all degree requirements.
