What to Expect in Therapy

Your therapist will talk to you about your thoughts, feelings, relationships or an issue you may wish to discuss. During your first visit the therapist will ask questions to get to know you better. You will be asked to talk a little bit about yourself.

Therapy is completely confidential. Your therapist will not tell anyone what you say in your therapy session unless you give your therapist written permission to do so. The only exception to this rule is if the therapist believes you will harm yourself or somebody else.

Therapy is a safe and helpful way to address problems and to explore life choices. What you get out of therapy depends on you. Sticking to your appointments will ensure that you have enough time to work out all of your current concerns.
