All California Lutheran University programs leading to recommendation for a California credential or certificate have been approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
The Graduate School of Education is also accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the prestigious national accrediting body for schools, colleges, and departments of education. The U.S. Department of Education has authorized NCATE to determine which schools, colleges, and departments of education meet rigorous national standards in preparing teachers and other educators.
When a Graduate School of Education is NCATE accredited, it provides an assurance that the school’s preparation program has met national standards and has undergone rigorous external and impartial review by professionals, policymakers, and representatives of the public.
