Advanced Thinking Routines Workshop

How can I make the most out of using Thinking Routines? What will help transform the culture of my classroom? How can developing throughlines support my work with Thinking Routines?

With a background in Thinking Routines, these workshops will focus on:

  • Creating powerful learning opportunities that actively engage thinking and are supported with throughlines (Big Idea questions)
  • Analyzing cultural components of our own classrooms to determine how to get the most out of Thinking Routines
  • Developing performances of understanding to assess student thinking/learning
  • Creating rubrics and routines to evaluate student thinking

Dates: February 26, 2015 and March 24, 2015

All sessions are from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

This advanced workshop is targeted for K-12 teachers that have a background, have used Thinking Routines, or previously attended our workshops. *It is NOT recommended for anyone new to Thinking Routines.

Cost: $85.00

*It is recommended that you purchase the book "Making Thinking Visible" by Ron Ritchhart. However, purchasing the book is NOT mandatory to participate.

Engaging English Learners in the Common Core ELA/Literacy: Unpacking and Implementing California's New ELD Standards

This two-day workshop will provide K-8 teachers, EL personnel, and administrators with an understanding of the new ELD Standards in relation to the Common Core State Standards for ELA/Literacy and with strategies for scaffolding English learner success. Participants will receive tools to plan English learner instruction across content areas.

Dates: April 29 and April 30, 2015

Both days are from 8:00am-3:00pm. Attendance is required for both days.

Cost: $350 per person.
