Courage to Lead: Dramatically Accelerating Student Literacy Achievement

Summer Literacy Workshop for K-12 Educators

The CRLP Courage to Lead: Dramatically Accelerating Student Literacy Achievement workshop at CLU offers a variety of topics for all educators.  This one-day workshop will be held on the beautiful Cal Lutheran University Campus.  Current CLU Students receive a 40% discount.  Workshop topics include:

  • Phonemic Awareness and Phonics Instruction
  • Text Structures
  • Common Core State Standards
  • Comprehension Through Active Learning
  • Academic Language
  • Infusing Lessons with Active Student Participation
  • iPod Literacy Technology
  • Applying for Grants in Your Classroom

The registration fee includes a book share presentation by author, Amada Irma Perez, two workshops of your choice, lunch, and Keynote Presentation by Dr. Elfrieda Hiebert.
