Clear Multiple and Single Subject Credential Program
Program Overview
Individuals who complete a teacher education program and receive a five-year (2042) Preliminary Credential must earn a Clear Credential by completing an approved Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) program. If a BTSA program is not available through the employer, employed teachers may enroll in an approved program offered by a university.
The CLU clear courses may be taken as a stand alone program, or as a specialization within a master's degree program. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible for the Clear Multiple or Single Subject Teaching Credential offered by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Online option
All courses are offered in a fully online format to teachers meeting the eligibility requirement listed above.
